Make the Most of Your
Getaway
There is more than one way
to experience South Haven. The adventurous will bundle up for a walk
along the shoreline, take a spin around South Haven's classic outdoor ice
rink, hit the slopes for downhill skiing at Timber Ridge or even try
cross-country skiing at Sarett Nature Center. The comfort-seekers
will enjoy a lazy afternoon at Cafe Julia, a evening by the fire with a
glass of wine and a a great book, and browsing the multitude of shops
downtown.
During the spring or summer,
walk or ride the Kal-Haven trail - from the shady riverside to farmland
vistas. Climb the sand dunes at the state park. Comb the beach
for beach glass, fossils and other treasures. Take a picnic lunch to
the park across the street and watch the boats head out to the lake. Capture the spirit of
adventure on a sailing expedition with Captain John of
Shaul Sails, or on
the replica tall ship, the
Friends Good Will.
